The latest movie of the four times Oscar-winning filmmakers Coen brothers, Hail, Caesar! hits the theaters this Thursday.
The comedy mystery movie takes us back to Hollywood’s golden age in the 1950’s where Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin), the head of production of Hollywood studio Capitol Pictures, is responsible of solving every single detail related to the making of the movies. His biggest crisis will unveil when the star of their upcoming blockbuster, Baird Whitlock (George Clooney), gets kidnapped before they finish the filming.
Hail, Caesar! takes us behind the scenes of the movie film making industry and everything that happens under cover.
The movie doesn't have a major plot but is more about a series of events in the life of Hollywood actors with many humorous scenes. Only the story of Barid Whitlock is the one that stays till the end.
The picture was so vivid and enjoyable, the direction was phenomenal but what makes this movie not up to the standards of the Cohen Brother was its weak story.
Despite that, the performances added a counterweight of positives especially with the appearance of Scarlett Johansson that excelled in her character and Channing Tatum that amazed us with his dancing skills.
Clooney simply nailed it!
