When Caitlyn Jenner was not there was The Danish Girl

Almost a century before Caitlyn Jenner (Kim Kardashian's stepfather) graced the cover of Vanity Fair, Lili Elbe (The Star of the Danish Girl) became one of the first people to undergo documented sex reassignment . The Danish Girl is a British biographical drama film about Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne) a married man who starts wearing his wife's clothes Gerda Wegener (Alicia Vikander) so he can help her in painting a portray until Lili, the woman in him, wakes up. Eddie Redmayne gives a triumphant and phenomenal performance after his hit movie The Theory of Everything for which he he got another Oscars got an Oscar. Maybe another one is on the way. Alicia Vikander to her turn
was so convincing and exceeded in transmitting some authentic feelings. In our opinion it was her best performance so far. The movie is beautifully filmed, with some breathtaking scenes in Copenhagen, Paris and Dresden. Tom Hooper created a piece of art thanks to his stunning direction that reminded us of his academy award winning film, The King's Speech. The Danish Girl was a great movie that informed us and took us behind the scenes of what happens with transgender people and the confusion they face.
